Pricing for Google’s upcoming Android TV dongle could be leaked courtesy of Home Depot. 9to5 Spotted by Google, the new device when it lands. Can run around 50 and it can come in three colors: Rock Candy, Como Blue and Summer Watermelon.

While home depot inventory systems currently have $ 50 value placeholders, they make a lot of sense. Google would be foolish to charge more for a streaming stick or Amazon Fire TV than competitors like Roku or Amazon. $ 50 brings it to par with other Ings ferings on the market, and less than the Chromecast Ultra – for those in the Google ecosystem, which could make the price right below $ 50 competitive.
We don’t know what these three leaked color shades are; While “Como Blue” is clear enough, the shades offered in Summer Melon and Rock Candy Nest speakers can be similar or something similar.
The release date is still unknown, though details about the dongle are being leaked, and it just went through the FCC. I expect we’ll hear more every time the Google Pixel 5 and 4 are rolled out to 5G – probably on an annualized basis, as expected by the Google event in October.
