Unlimited storage on Google Photos is sadly ending in June 2021, all subsequent photos have been uploaded, then counted on your free 15 GB Google Drive storage. This means that before you start paying for more space, you have a few years of free storage left.
The good news for those looking to jump on the bandwagon early is that there are already a lot of Google Photos options on the market. The bad news is that none of them offer the same feature set, and some require a lot more effort to set up. Here’s a look at your best options!

Before we get into Google Photos Options, it’s worth asking: Are you better off paying for more storage on Google Photos?
The answer is probably yes. Free unlimited storage, making Google Photos the best alternative around. The ability to quickly search through your photo library by date, location, or keyword is incredibly useful, and no other service can match it.

Another thing to keep in mind is that none of these options will be free forever. Most have less free capacity than Google Drive, and some require a hardware or software software subscription fee. In most cases, once you remove the limit, you’re better off paying a bullet bite and $ 2 a month (or 20 20 a year).

Beyond that, here are the best Google Photos options for those who want to cut the service out of their lives.
Amazon Photos

For those who are really accustomed to unlimited storage, Amazon Photos is an excellent replacement. Even better, if you pay for Amazon Prime you already have it.
Amazon Photos is essentially unlimited cloud storage, but only for photos. You can store 5GB of videos and other files, but you’ll have to pay more than that. However it does have some keyword search features. They are not as good as Google but they are better than nothing. You are also able to save photos in original quality.
Like Google Photos, the app automatically syncs your photos, and you can share them with family members. Unlimited photo storage can be shared with as many as six family members on one subscription. However, if you cancel your Amazon Prime subscription, you will lose the loss of your photos, and it will be permanently deleted.
Drrop Pub .x

Droprob Pub Box X is a very popular cloud storage service, and if configured properly, it can serve as an appropriate Google Photos option. You can automatically sync all photos from your phone to a secure location in the cloud. It also promotes some of the best third-party integration of any cloud provider.

However, the free version is limited. You only get 2GB of storage (compared to 15GB with Google Photos and a few others), and paid plans are significantly more expensive than its competitors. What you get in return is extra security and productivity features, all you want to store are photos of your children, which may or may not be worth it.
Flickr
Flickr has been around for a long time, but not everyone knows that it offers great plans for photo storage. It’s primarily marketing to professional and amateur photographers with a way to host and share high quality photos, but it can also be great for everyday users.
If you just want to save the best shots, the app offers automatic sy-sync of all your photos or individual uploads. Photos and videos can be set to private to keep an eye out for your personal life. Since it’s designed for ground up photos, arranging everything in albums is also a breeze.
Free plans used to offer 1TB storage, but now it is limited to 1000 photos. If you want unlimited storage, you’ll need Flickr Pro, which runs for $ 7 a month (or $ 60 a year).
Apple iCloud
If you have an iPhone, odds are you are already using iCloud. It’s a cloud storage tool as powerful as Google Drive, if not surpassing it in some cases. ICloud Photos is the part we’ll focus on here, and like Google Photos, it’s an easy way to securely store all your photos in the cloud. It doesn’t have the same search capabilities, but you can access your photos from virtually any device.
Free users are limited to 5 GB storage, but Apple offers some cheaper plans for the iCloud expansion. GB0 GB runs only 1 runs a month, 200 GB runs $ 3 a month, and 2TB runs only $ 10 a month. You can also save money by bundling other subscriptions with Apple Pal One.
However, if you are not an iPhone user, you may want to look elsewhere. There is currently no official support for Android phones, and it doesn’t look like it’s coming anytime soon. You can access some limited functions through a mobile browser, but it offers nowhere near the same level of features.
OneDrive
Next up is MicroSt .’s cloud storage solution. OneDrive is a popular choice for business users due to its integration with DFish apps, but it is also a capable Google Photos replacement. You can download the app to your phone and sync your photos to that cloud automatically. Allows searching galleries and automatically likes pictures based on their content (like Google Photos).
The free version is more limited to just 5GB, but you can bump it up to 100GB for just 2 2 a month. Micro .ft 5 365 users also get 1TB of storage as part of a $ 7 per month (or $ 70 per year) plan. This makes it a natural choice for anyone who uses Microsoft applications for work or personal use.
Your own server
The last Google Photos alternative is the most complex, but the most versatile. Setting up your own cloud server will give you full control over your files, and free you from constant subscriptions to any service.
However, it will take more time and effort than any other service in the market. You can use Plex, Synology, nCloud or many other services to do this, but it will require a little bit of technical knowledge.
