- Google runs a month of daily deals on the Google store.
- The first deal reduces the price of a two-pack Nest Mini to $ 78.
Google was sparking something special for July 13, but it’s not the new Nest Speaker or other device releases, instead offering discounts on existing hardware.
Google Store in the United States offers a month of “Daily Specials” on the company’s products, with Saturday Night Live alumnus Fred Armisen launching assistant-capable devices through a series of skits.
The first deal is significant if you are starting with a smart home. Google is selling a package of two Nest Mini speakers for $ 78, or $ 20 off their regular price. The savings take effect automatically when you add two Nest Minis to your cart, and the offer is available until July 19 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific M. (July 20 at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time).
It is a worthwhile deal. We like the Nest Mini for its surprisingly powerful sound, fast response to voice commands, wall-mount bracket, and low price even before sales are taken into account. Our only major concern was its short, proprietary power cord. If you can live with it, the Nest input model is capable of checking the weather, streaming music, or controlling your Assistant-capable devices.
The Nest Mini will not be replaced for some time, although Google plans to launch the new Google Nest hardware in a few weeks. The upcoming Google Nest speaker, which we suspect will be unveiled during the Pixel 4a launch event, will replace the more premium Google Home speaker that launched a few years ago.
