Another upcoming Google product other than the Pixel 4a has been leaking a lot lately, and that’s the upcoming Chromecast dongle with Android TV, codenamed Sabrina. Unlike previous Chromecasts, this will run Android TV and thus have the full interface of that operating system.
Not only that, but it will have a smart remote control with the Google Assistant, which brings us to the fact that the search giant will be holding an online Smart Home Summit on July 8.
The company has not explicitly mentioned that it wants to reveal new hardware on that occasion, but it would be strange if this were just a coincidence. The new Chromecast, if it is priced to sell, could be a huge success given that it can basically turn any TV into a smart one, and of course provide Google with more data on its usage patterns. Remote and full Android TV UI will help with usability.
Along with this, the company could also introduce a new Google Home smart speaker, which will likely be called Nest Home. That fits in with the smart home theme even more. As for the Pixel 4a, who knows when that device could finally become official.
