Google released the second generation of its Pixel Buds in the US earlier this year. Despite an important step forward from the first gene, there were still many problems that made it difficult to deal with. Now they’re getting a little better thanks to new features to help find misplaced earbuds – and they’re not the only Fast Pair-enabled accessories that appear in the Find My Device app.

Pixel Buds now appear in the Find My Device app on Android and the web version, as last posted in April. Selecting the earbuds picks up information about the approximate location, as well as which phone they were last connected to and when. The ability to view battery levels and easily unpair would eventually come.

It seems that Find My Device integration comes with more audio accessories than just the new Pixel Buds. Updates to the Fast Pair standard itself are responsible for this new functionality, so Google does not limit it to its first-party hardware – we also see the OnePlus Buds and Jaybird Tarah in Find My Device now, and Google mentioned earlier the Harman Kardon FLY also wins support.

Find My Device for Fast Pair may have had a delayed arrival after it was first released last summer, but at least Google has finally found the time to deliver. Make sure you never lose an earbud by downloading the Find My Device app from the Play Store or directly from APK Mirror.
