- Some of the first Google Pixel 5 renders we’ve seen have just hit the web.
- The renders come from an untested source and could most likely be incorrect.
- However, if they are correct, the Pixel 5 could simply be an improved Pixel 4a.
We’re still waiting on the Google Pixel 4a to see a proper launch, but that won’t stop the rumor mill from producing new leaks related to Google Pixel 5. Today, the phone accessories store Pigtou released what it claims leaked. CAD based on Pixel 5 renders, which we have reflected below.
Before diving in and starting to check things out for yourself, let’s be honest: we are very skeptical about the authenticity of these leaks. We’ll talk more about why we are skeptical later in this article, but we just wanted to release that from the start.
Without further ado, here are the renders for the Google Pixel 5.
Google Pixel 5 renderings: be the judge
The first thing you’ll probably notice with the Pixel 5 renders above is that they make the device a lot like the Google Pixel 4a. The dual-lens camera module is a dead ringer for the Google Pixel 4’s, of course, but the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner (!?) And the lone selfie camera housed in a screen cutout Left-aligned are just like what we’ve seen in Pixel 4a leaks.

If you combine these renders with the prevailing idea that the Pixel 5 could be shipped with a mid-range chipset, you won’t get anything like a flagship phone. As far as we’re concerned, this looks like an improved Pixel 4a rather than an actual Pixel 4 follow-up.
However, we are skeptical about the validity of these Google Pixel 5 renders. Let us explain why.
These renders may not be legitimate
To who Android AuthorityWe are very careful to share leaked information from reliable and trustworthy sources. However, the Pixel 5 renderings above come from a source not yet tested, so we are approaching them with great skepticism.
David Kowalski, who calls himself “xleaks7”, is the source of the images above. He’s only been in the leak game for a few months, so he hasn’t had time to build a solid reputation. Also, the last time we shared leaked Kowalski renders was for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and their renders don’t look much like the actual renders Samsung accidentally leaked last week.
In other words, Google Pixel 5 may very well look like the images shared here, but don’t bet everything on that just yet. Over the next few weeks, we will surely see other leaks from more reliable sources that will corroborate or refute Kowalski’s information. Stay tuned.
