Google News will allow free allow access to paved articles from news sites


As part of its 1 1 billion investment in partnership with News Publishers, Google will begin paying for some of the pavilized content for its News Showcase program. The Google Blu-ray Post says that News Showcase will “start offering people access to paid content in partnership with select news publishers.” Google will pay partners for limited access to paid content in the partnership. To access that content, users still need to register with individual publishers.

U.S. Users in should not be too excited about free articles yet. Google lists partnerships with publishers in some countries, but U.S. Not currently on this list. The news showcase went live in Show October in Brazil and Germany. Publications from other countries, including Argentina, Canada, France, the UK, and Australia, have since been signed. Google says, “Conversations are going on in many other countries.

Google also announced a new type of story panel, enabling individual publishers to display a curated list of Tej’s important articles. These choices will appear in the user’s For You feeds, as well as in a new dedicated area within the Newsstand on Google News.

News Showcase was first launched for the Google News app on Android, and is now available on iOS. Google says it will be coming to News.google.com.com and Google Discover soon.
