While it was completely leaked, Google has been silent on when to wait for its next mid-range phone. That is changing today with a “lorem ipsum” provocation for what is likely to be the Pixel 4a.
Made by Google updated their Facebook and Twitter pages with a new cover image. It features a black hole in the upper left corner which is clearly a nod to the Pixel 4a and its front camera.
In the case of this latest presence on social media, it changed the account name to “The Google RTing, Meme Loving, Info Sharing Stream”. There are several colored Google word boxes that presumably describe and provoke the Pixel 4a.
It links to a new Google Store home page with an Easter egg that reveals a date of August 3. (Touch the boxes until they match the Google logo order: blue, red, yellow, blue, green, and red.) The text says: “Google is what you’ve been waiting for on the phone.” This is clearly a nod to how people have been waiting for this phone since May.

Meanwhile, a phone-shaped object that matches the Pixel 4a is covered with a checkerboard pattern.
The “lorem ipsum” paragraph below has several decidedly non-Latin words that really describe features like the camera, Night Sight’s low-light capabilities, bokeh, and all-day battery life.
