Every little detail counts when it comes to diving into a search engine experience and Google would die for not knowing it. At the moment, the company seems to be testing custom header images on its search results based on queries that revolve around “ideas” – but those backgrounds could also be spread to other searches.
Yvo Schaap, CEO of SEOBrowse, commented on the headlines that appear behind the Google logo, search bar and tabs, and posted a few examples on Twitter.
In the current “SERP experiment I came across”:

9to5Google was able to replicate these results and find others directly on mobile Chrome, but not with the Google Search app – we could not, which could just be another bad sign from the A / B test sticks. We also searched a few images for the terms Search Engine Roundtable that was used in the tests (see screenshots below) just to see if we could find the ones that Google used for those headers within them, but alas, we rolled a whole bundle and nothing appeared.
We’ll have to ask ourselves what “ideas” Google has for this extra flair when deciding to take this concept further.
