Last night Google experienced some issues with its servers because multiple services were affected by disruptions, but now the company has confirmed that the issues have been fixed. People reported that they could not send emails via Gmail and upload files to Drive, with thousands of reports on DownDetector.com. Google even noted on its G Suite Status Dashboard that there were additional issues with Docs, Meet, Chat, Keep, Groups, Slides, Sites, and Voice.
Left: Gmail failed to send mail. Right: Upload failed in Drive.
Google first acknowledged the issues at around 10:30 a.m. PST, but reports started earlier. In the dashboard, Google listed all known issues:
Sending Problems with Gmail, Measuring Recording Problems, Creating Problems with Files in Drive, Problems Uploading CSV Users to Admin Console, Posting Problems in Google Chat, Sites Adding Problems with New Pages, Tracking Problems, Voice Messages
It has since fixed all these issues, and states,
The problem with [with our services] must be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support.
G Suite Status Dashboard from 8.45pm PST.
There were also tons of complaints that YouTube uploads were broken, like rap Twitter Search and YouTube itself will tell you that. That problem is now fixed as well.
This issue is now fixed. Thank you for your patience! https://t.co/6NEssNBLu2

I was able to fix the Drive issues myself on both my personal and my G Suite account, although sending emails worked fine via my personal email address – it is possible that different accounts were affected to varying degrees.
