Google Assistant snapshot will almost certainly be useful if you have a packed daily schedule.

Google has updated the daily calendar feature to summarize the top tasks at the top, with the Snapshot now changing based on the time of day and how you interacted with Assistant in the past. You get your news, tasks and weather when you just start the day, for example.

You will also receive more recommendations. Google Assistant will now provide podcasts, recipes, and delivery-friendly restaurants. As with other tasks, recipes will change over the course of the day.

Next anniversary will reach Snapshot in the future, Google said. When they arrive, you get the chance to call, send or even sing a birthday song.

It should be easier to pick up the Snapshot. Where you previously had to apply an icon, you can now ask Google to “show me my day” to call up the calendar. The voice control will initially reach users with English as the default language, and should spread to other languages in the “coming months”.

The general Snapshot update is now out for everyone on Android and iOS, while birthdays are ready to hit English-language markets when they are ready. This will not necessarily turn Assistant into a full-fledged productivity app, but it may give you more reason to trust Google with your day-to-day business against other personal assistants.
