GoldenEye 25 Switches to hold and desist from 007 IP holder

GoldenEye 25, a fan-made attempt to revive Rare’s classic N64 shooter, is set to conclude following a cease and desist request from MGM / Danjaq, the rights holder for the James Bond media franchise.

The goal with the Unreal Engine 4 title – which was inspired by the canceled XBLA HD remake – was to make the legendary FPS in time for its 25th anniversary in August 2022. The update would fulfill the mission of the improve single-player story, add modern visuals and even factor in a few gameplay adjustments.
