Goldberg takes a shot at Roman Reigns for comments he made on Twitter

The planned WWE Universal Championship Match between Goldberg and Roman Reigns is probably the biggest match of 2020 that wipes out the coronavirus pandemic. The pair would collide in WrestleMania 36 back in April, Reigns took them off because of the pandemic and the risk it would steal his growing family, Goldberg wrapped up the title to leave Braun Strowman quickly and no one is seen on WWE television since. Back in January, long before it looked like the two would meet at Mania, Reigns mocked Goldberg on Twitter for accidentally slamming doors during his war-ups before the match.

While explaining why he used a pad during his entrance to protect his hand, Reigns wrote, “That I do not break my hand on steel grid. I had to perform like 48 weeks a year man. That that would be stupid “It would be like, sticking a door open for my level of stupidity.”

In a new interview with American Monster Productions, Goldberg took another shot at “The Big Dog” over that old tweet before explaining why he does his head before contests.

“Novel, you’re a joke, first of all,” Goldberg said. “Second of all, when he slammed me over the door and stuff, you know, I never really explained my whole thought process about that. To get you the character you got, I had to do certain things. ., one of them stood knocking on the door.Yes? And that may seem like a dumb move on the outside, but like I mentioned, we all weigh the positives and negatives, so it’s very positive to make it as great as humanly possible, and as real as humanly possible, and all the negative is that you lose a little blood and hey, man, you get another audition and cut a week of your life. “

In an interview with Carcast days after Mania, Goldberg addressed Reigns’ decision to withdraw from the match.

“I’m going to Orlando, I’m tape, I’m coming back and quarantining. It was just like ‘Groundhog Day’. Of course I had a change of opponents at the last minute. and apparently his immune system is down, “Goldberg said.” I do not know why it was considered in the beginning itself, besides he had invested the time and WWE invested the money in the corner, the game. So literally until the 23rd hour, there was still a possibility that he and I would wrestle. Plans changed at the very last minute. I did my match with [Braun Strowman] and it was possible that I could do a match with Roman for the fifth time again [of April], that apparently fell through. ”

He went on, ‘It was still a possibility [Roman’s] end that he could continue with the match. We went to the [WWE Performance Center] and our temperatures were taken when we entered, the place was screwed up and down, there were a limited number of people allowed in and out of the building, it was very controlled. I think what happened was someone was sick and Roman had heard about it. They just had the flu, but just the fact that someone was sick under those circumstances, he just could not do it. More power for him to get it continuously, whether that is realistic or unrealistic from a person in his shoes [is] worried, but you have to keep the boy, because he was still ready to do it until 11 o’clock. “
