A member of a team searching for a missing television star in a southern California lake said he is confident his crew has a clearer idea of where to find her in the lake, Us Weekly reported. Robert Inglis, of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team, told the magazine that the actress Naya Rivera He sent a family member a photo of his 4-year-old son, Josey, in front of an inlet before he disappeared on July 8 after diving into Piru Lake.
“There was a photo sent to a family member showing the boy in the boat next to a cove,” Inglis told the magazine on Sunday. “We found where that cove was.”
A time stamp on the photo shows that it took between 90 minutes and two hours before the boy was found alone on the pontoon, the magazine reported.
Inglis told Us Weekly that the area where the photo was taken and where the ship was found were starting points for authorities before the search was expanded.
“We send our dive members to those two locations and we search for them extensively,” he told Us Weekly.
Rivera remained missing until Monday morning.
Authorities said Thursday they believe Rivera, 33, drowned in the lake. Her son was found in the boat.
The boy told investigators that he and his mother went swimming and he returned to the boat, but “his mother never came out of the water,” the sheriff’s sergeant said. Kevin Donoghue said.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter that the lake is closed and that people should not attempt to conduct their own searches in the area due to rugged terrain and other potentially dangerous factors.
“For those trying to find Naya Rivera on their own, 1. The lake is closed. 2. The temples are already in the 90s. 3. The terrain around the lake is very steep and rugged. Our teams are well equipped and highly trained “We don’t want to have to rescue you,” the tweet said.
Rivera began acting at a young age, but she gained national attention by playing a lesbian teenager in “Glee,” which aired from 2009 to 2015 on Fox.
