Girlfriend of Portland man attacked: ‘They tried to fight people’

The girlfriend of the man who was attacked Sunday night in downtown Portland said on Wednesday that people from the group were “looking for a fight” when they attacked her and her boyfriend and beat him unconscious.

Tammie Martin told local branch FOX 12 Oregon that she and her friend, Adam Haner, were in his truck when he tracked down a person who turned out to be in need of help and stopped the car. People from the group then raised Haner and called him “a white supremacist,” she said. The confrontation escalated further until he got back into the truck.

Martin told the TV stations that she then got out of the truck. Video shows her standing on the side of the driver of the car when people started attacking her.
