That performance has already helped change perceptions of the 2018 exchange he sent Luke Voit to the Yankees. If he can keep things going, Gallegos could convince the worshipers of San Luis to completely change their minds in a deal that has sparked no shortage of dismay.
It remains to be seen how quickly Gallegos will intensify. Assuming you are in good health and have plenty of training opportunities, you should be able to move and launch your progression fairly quickly.
Even in the best case scenario, it would be optimistic to think that Gallegos will be ready for opening day. And presumably now he’s out of the closest conversation to open the year. But the moment should make Gallegos available for most of the 2020 campaign.
