The New York Giants have signed for their 53-man roster from their practice squad with cornerback Ryan Lewis. The move comes after the Chicago Bears suffered heavy losses, with both Sean Barclay and Sterling Shepard seen going down due to injuries.

There are giants too Expect to sign Running Devonta Freeman back if he passes his Covid-19 test.

The Giants are changing their cornbuck position in an attempt to find a relevant answer against James Bradberry. Lewis spent eight games in 2019 with the Miami Dolphins under Patrick Graham and brings solid size (6 ft-1, 195 lb) to that position.

The Giants tried to claim a waiver from the Dolphins at the start of the first training camp, but lost to the priority Washington football team, which has more priority. New York finally found him when he was pardoned by Washington during the final cut downs and on September 9 he was signed to the Giants practice team.

Lewis was one of two practice squad additions to the roster for Sunday’s game in Chicago, but did not play.
