Georgia receiver George Pickens is expected to miss the Florida game

Athens According to several sources, Georgia’s softmore receiver George Pickens will miss his second consecutive game.

The Pickens, Sugar Bowl MVPA, continued to deal with upper body injuries, with 12 catches for 175 yards in a 26-14 win over Baylor on January 1st.

It’s a fight between the No. 1 Bulldogs and the No. 8 Gators in Jacksonville, Florida, with injuries in the 30: 0 kick-off.

Georgia Senior All-American Safety Richard Laconte will miss the game due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash last Saturday night.

Senior defensive tackle Julian Rochester is out for the season following a knee injury in last Saturday’s win in Kentucky.

Coach Kirby Smart said earlier this week that he hopes Jordan Davis could play a limited role in relieving the junior nose after being knocked out of last Saturday’s game against the Wildcats with an elbow injury.

Smart said the game is expected to feature two other players who have left the Kentucky game injured, safety Lewis Cine (ankle) and linebacker Quay Wal Wal (neck).

The Georgia head coach was asked about his confidence to move to a defensive depth in the Florida game during his coach’s performance on Thursday night.

“I’m not so confident I was going to play in Kentucky, it’s for sure we just lost some guys,” Smart said. “There was an issue where I saw people walking to one side in the locker room, and I just kept watching them go, and I, like a bullet, it was like an ant ka ching wa.

“We were x-raying the cow and getting individuals, inside and out, to work on it, and it was scary to say the least.”

“We don’t have a one-time depth, but we’ve got good football players, and we’ll find out a lot about some of them when we get a chance to step down on Saturday,” Smart said.

Pickens was injured during weight training, according to multiple sources.

The former 5-star receiver has seen his role diminish this season with Redshirt Jr. Statson Bennett under center in the quarterback.

Perimeter receiver, Pekins, has 13 catches for just 140 yards in the first four games he played.

Smart said Georgia was looking for ways to get the Pickens more involved.

Smart said earlier this week that the Pickens could be in a more catchy position.

ESPN analyst Jordan Rogers noted that he had seen the Pickens in line at five different receiver positions before the Kentucky game.

The Bulldogs’ offensive game plan includes more short runs this season than Jack from the NFL.

Bennett passes 7-of-20 for 275 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions thrown at downfield 205 yards or more, according to the advance matrix cited by 247 Sports.

Bennett ranks 10th in the quarterbacks starting 14 SECs in the percentage of attempts above 20 yards (14.3 percent), where he focuses more on short passes that are tied with a percentage of his third down throw.
