It’s harder to start the season worse than what Georgia did in the first half.
At the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs had more penalty yards than offensive yards. The Bulldogs played multiple quarterbacks, starting with D’One Mathis and then moving on to Statson Bennett in the second quarter.

Mathis was 6 of 14 for 37 yards, a disruption as well as a falling instant that took the Bulldogs out of the field goal range. Bennett went 9-for-14 for 92 yards. Georgia also ran for just 48 yards in the first half. In contrast, the Bulldogs had 11 first half penalties for 98 yards.
Bennett showed little progress towards the end of the half, and Georgia undertook a two-minute drill to score a field goal to make it a 7-make score from Jack Podless. The Bulldogs took advantage of 59 yards on the final drive of the half.
Almost all were disappointed with Georgia’s crime and all parties involved.

I have now reached the point where I blunt the rest of the game for defensive TD as the only hope.

The Bulldogs played mostly stellar defense, with the exception of a touchdown drive in the first quarter. The Bulldogs pushed for safety against the Razorbacks and Richard Laconte stopped Arkansas quarterback Felipe Franks.

But the focus of the first half was on offense, which went to 1-for-12 at number three. The Bulldogs had six drives in the Arkansas region and came away with 3 points. This is also against the Arkansas team which has a new coach in Sam Pitman and a team that had a poor defense in the SEC last season.
This is the first game for New Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken and it was too much to forget. Georgia will see things turn in the second half against the Razorbacks. The game can be viewed on the SEC Network.
