Georgia Democrat Vernon Jones, who supports Trump, accompanied by angry crowds outside White House

An angry crowd surrounded and raged against Georgia State Rep Vernon Jones Thursday night as the Democrat left President Trump’s Republican National Convention (RNC) event in the White House, as happened with several other people in the area, including Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky.

Jones’ vocal support for Trump has enveloped him in the national spotlight, landing him a speaker at the RNC on Monday night. There, Jones had accused fellow Democrats of not wanting “Black people to leave their mental plantation” and of “pandering” to the Black community.

When Jones left the White House on Monday, several videos on social media showed a group of Metro Police Department (MPD) officers around Jones and used their bikes as barriers between him and the angry group of people around him. One video showed protesters specifically calling Jones a “disgrace” and the ugly racial slash “house n —–.”

A separate video made by the Washington Post showed a more tame moment of the confrontation, where members of the crowd still hated Jones, but not in physical confrontations with police as various other videos toande.

“Yesterday’s chaos, yet to be condemned by Joe Biden and DC Mayor Bowser, was exactly where President Trump warned in his acceptance speech,” Ken Farnaso, the deputy national secretary of the Trump campaign, told Fox News.

Both Biden and Bowser have this week condemned the violence and threatening behavior of crowds across the country, but have not specifically addressed the incidents outside the White House in the nearly 12 hours since they happened.

Farnaso added: “Democratic cities have lost control of their streets and their policies endanger everyday Americans. Make no mistake, you will not be safe in Joe Biden’s America.”

Jones is a highly controversial figure whose liberal references have been demanded by fellow Democrats in recent weeks. He voted for George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004 and had images of Robert E. Lee, a Confederate general, in his office, Savanah Morning News reported.

Paul, who was in the middle of an even larger crowd when he left the White House on Thursday, condemned the crowd that chased him and shook officers while thanking the MPD.

“Just attacked by an angry mob of more than 100, one block away from the White House,” Paul said. “Thanks to @DCPoliceDept for literally saving our lives from a crazy mob.”

The senator and his wife did not appear to be injured. Jones apparently also made it safely back to his hotel. Jones ‘law firm did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

The ugly confrontations between angry crowds and RNC participants came when liberal experts worried about the looting and violence could help the Trump campaign. Biden himself said on MSNBC Thursday that Trump “rooted for more violence, not less” and condemned the violence to the Democratic National Convention last week in large part over the issue.
