Leading donors will be able to purchase tickets for all four of the home games. According to a chart included in the email, this is how it will break:
- Silver Circle members (who have donated $ 1 million or more over the years) and members of the Magill Society who have donated $ 250,000 or more will receive four tickets for every four games.
- Magill members who have donated between $ 25,000 and $ 249,000 and Hartman Fund members who have donated more than $ 5,000 will receive four seats for two games.
- All donors below the $ 5000 mark will be eligible for four seats for one game.
Depending on how many donors decide to sign up, some of the season ticket holders may not be accommodated. Donors will have one week to respond, as of August 26th.
The seats will be spread across all sections of the 92,746-seat Sanford Stadium in blocks of four with socially-spaced space between each. The locations will likely be different than donors are accustomed to during normal seasons.
Single tickets will be sold for $ 150 each, $ 75 of which is considered a donation. That total – a maximum of $ 2,400, if $ 600 a game – will be deducted from the amount donors already contributed in April.
Georgia encourages donors (such as those who opt for rejection) to donate their balance to the “COVID-19 UGA Athletics Fund.” That fund will be used to cover the additional costs that UGA incurs for “mission-critical resources” for Georgia’s 550 athletes for issues such as medical tests, technology and other special measures to combat the pandemic.
Those who contribute to the COVID-19 fund will be offered three times the priority points (per $ 1 donated) to next year’s cards. Those who unsubscribe and opt for a refund will lose those points from their total score.
The donations are requested because UGA said in the email that it is in a “must-have mode” due to reduced revenue and additional expenses expected as a result of precautionary measures for health and safety.
Georgia is expected to receive about 10,000 tickets for the Nov. 7 game in Florida. These will also be sold in blocks of four and will be determined purely on donor status. That determination will be made separately from the Bulldogs’ four home games.
Students will also receive a reduced ticket notification for home games. UGA normally reserves 16,000 tickets per home game for students. They are expected to get about 3,500 under the plan. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
UGA will not offer card dive games. SEC teams are expected to receive about 500 each, which will be used for families visiting team.
Not everyone is sure if they will attend Georgia’s home games. One member of the Silver Circle, which is Georgia’s highest donor level, said he has not decided.
“I get my cards, but until I see it and deepen it, I’m not sure what I’ll do,” he said. ‘I do not think we will be in a normal mode of operation. More than likely I will just take care of the younger people in our family. ”
