She starred in the short-lived series ‘MANTIS’ and appeared in films such as ‘Point Break’ and ‘RoboCop 2’.
Galyn Görg, a dancer and actress who appeared on shows like Twin peaks and The prince of Bel Air and in movies that include Breaking point and RoboCop 2, has died. She was 55 years old.
Görg died in a hospital in Hawaii on Tuesday, the day before his birthday, of cancer, his agent Sheila Legette said.
Görg played police detective Leora Maxwell in the 1994-95 Fox science fiction drama MANTIS, co-created by Sam Raimi, and played Nancy O’Reilly, Mrs. One Eyed Jacks’ sister Blackie O’Reilly (Victoria Catlin), on three ABC episodes Twin peaks in 1990.
And in a 1996 NBC installment The prince of Bel Air, she portrayed a woman named Helena who knocked out Will Smith in a boxing ring.
Originally from Los Angeles, Görg appeared in the popular 1983 music video for ZZ Top’s song “Sharp Dressed Man” and a year later danced on NBC Fame.
She happened to appear in Team A, Jake and the fat man, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Lost, Parks and Recreation and How to escape murder and in movies that include Storyville (1992) and The wrong friend (2018)
