The Galaxy Z Flip has not enjoyed the same success as Samsung’s other 2020 flagship phones, in large part due to its high price and niche form factor, but it is definitely not ignored by the company. In fact, the original LTE version (not the newer 5G variant) now gets the One UI 2.5 update alongside Samsung’s other phones.
One UI 2.5 debuted on the Galaxy Note20 series, and the update came on the Galaxy S20 lineup shortly after the Notes were released. It lets third-party launchers take advantage of Android 10’s gestures in full screen, adds more video modes to the camera app, includes wireless DeX support for compatible smart TVs, and sprinkles in a few extra features. However, the Galaxy Z Flip does not support DeX at first, so the wireless feature is not present.

The update for the Z Flip also includes the August security patch, and comes with a 1.1GB download. It seems to be limited to the United States at first, but the OTA would have to come in other regions soon.
