Galaxy Tab S7 photo confirms selfie camera has been relocated

Exactly three weeks to go until Samsung’s next unpacked event, the company’s next flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S7, has been seen in a live photo on Safety Korea. And just like the renders and previously leaked photos have hinted at before, the new live photo by hand clearly confirms the relocation of the front camera on the right edge of the device.

As you probably know, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S tablets generally carry their front sensors at the top edge, when whiteboards are used in portrait mode to be precise. This design was used even by newer models like the Galaxy Tab S6 and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, but the company is now shifting gears with the Galaxy Tab S7. This design change indicates that Samsung may be putting a greater focus on landscape mode, but time will tell if this will also be reflected through the software.

More changes are coming to Samsung’s flagship tablets

Obviously, this is not the only expected change from the next series of tablets when compared to the models that are on sale today. Although Safety Korea’s documents don’t reveal much more about the tablet’s specs, previous rumors claim that the Galaxy Tab S7 series will be equipped with displays capable of a 120Hz refresh rate. Similarly, for the first time in the history of Samsung tablets, the upcoming flagship can also boast 45W super fast charging capabilities. We also hoped that the Galaxy Tab S7 line would have an IP rating, but Samsung still doesn’t seem ready to take this step, even though this might prevent the tablet from being really cool.

Korea’s security certificate links the photo to the model number SM-T875N, that is, the Galaxy Tab S7 +, but the documents also mention the ‘derived model’ SM-T870, which must correspond to the standard Galaxy Tab S7 variant. The document also confirms that the flagship series of tablets is being manufactured at Samsung’s facility in Thai Nguyen, Vietnam.
