Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 will be announced in a few weeks, and before that, the specs are starting to leak. After a dump of specs on the larger Note 20 Ultra today, the smaller model is now fully detailed.
WinFuture Today reports that the Galaxy Note 20 will have a specification sheet that is generally similar to the Ultra model, but with some key changes.
One of the biggest changes to the smaller Note 20? Its 6.7-inch display is not only smaller and FHD, but it also sticks to a 60Hz refresh rate and also eliminates curved edges. Overall, it’s a downgrade, but on a personal note, I’m glad there’s an option without a curved panel.
Beyond the screen, the processor, at least in Europe, is the Exynos 990 itself. 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will also be the only tier available.
The 108MP camera will also not be used on the Note 20 base, with a 12MP primary telephoto, 12MP ultra-wide-angle, and 64MP on the back. The battery is also slightly smaller at 4,300 mAh.
Interestingly, the S Pen will also have higher latency on the Note 20. Instead of the improved 9ms response time on the Ultra, this model will be 26ms. It is unclear how exactly Samsung is achieving the lowest latency on the Ultra model.
Another big change is that some models It may have a plastic back. At least, the material may not be Gorilla Glass 7. The phone will also be released in Mystic Bronze and Black as Ultra, but also in Mystic Green.
Update 7/23: After yesterday’s biggest leak, Evan Blass has now released another set of Note 20 images. This time, however, the gallery also includes the Mystic Green color variant that we have so far not seen. Frankly, it looks a lot like the iPhone 11 Pro “Midnight Green”, only with a considerably lighter shade.
The smaller Note 20 is essentially an S20 equipped with an S Pen, not that it’s a particularly bad thing. It’s a respectable spec sheet that will surely cost a little less than the Ultra too. Apparently, there will also be a single 4G model available in Europe, which is also a nice bonus.
