G.S.A. Accepts Biden as election winner, lets start transition process

Following weeks of inaction by the General Services Administration, Joe Biden was clearly declared the winner of Monday’s presidential election, and President Donald Trump called on his agencies and departments to cooperate.

“I’m recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to the initial protocol, and my team is asked to do the same,” Trump said of General Services Administration Chief Emily Murphy. However, he said he would continue to fight the election result.

The designation, transition initiates the formal transition process, through which Biden and his team will receive current agency officials, briefing books, some funding of 6 6 million, and other government resources.

Murphy said in a letter to Biden, citing the presidency, “Since the recent developments have involved legal challenges and certification of election results, I have decided that upon request you may access the post-election resources and services described in Article of the Act.” The Transition Act of 1963.
