Republican U.S. House candidates shattered expectations in the 2020 election, as independents and some Democratic voters “connect the dots” between liberal democratic rule and economic ruin in their communities, a GOP legislator says.

He said that in many places where political power is equally dominated by the left, constituents often deal with homelessness, high homelessness, high taxes, public school failures, unemployment and skyrocketing costs.

“Democratic leftists give the same,” he said, adding that many voters in his home state have recognized the problem.
“And I think the people of California are fed up with that and I think Americans across the country are looking at places like California and New York and saying we’re not going to go there,” McClintock added. Republicans made their biggest earnings.
“That’s why the Georgia election is so important,” he added, pointing to the state, saying that on January 5, two U.S. Senate elections will determine the control of the chamber.
In New York, State Assemblywoman Nicole Maliotakis, a Republican who was her party’s candidate against Bill de Blasio in New York City’s 2017 mayoral election, defeated the U.S. Rep. Max Rose, D.N.Y.

In McClintock’s California, many Republicans have won fiercely competitive races, including the victory of Rep.-Elected David Waladao, R-Calif.
Elsewhere in the state, elected Young Kim and Michelle Steele overcame their democratic authority challenges, as the G.O.P. Despite being added to its ranks in the House, it is predicted to lose about a dozen net seats.
