The Polestar 2 gets high marks in the test drive reviews and the latest Fully Charged episode is no different, as Robert Llewellyn was simply stunned by the all-electric Polestar.
According to the review, Polestar 2 is very impressive. It handles great, the build quality is outstanding, and the Android-based infotainment is absolutely the best, very intuitive – it’s even better than in Tesla cars, according to Robert, who has owned Teslas for several years.
Comparing the Polestar 2 directly to the similarly priced Tesla Model 3 version, it’s not that fast, or that fast, and it doesn’t have that much range, but those are quite minor differences. The largest is the public charge, which retains the Polestar 2, compared to the Model 3, which can use the super-dense and fairly dense Supercharge network.
“The exquisitely beautiful Polestar 2 leaves Robert literally lost for words, but how does it compare to the Tesla Model 3? At each benchmark, the Polestar 2 is truly impressive and it’s just the lack of charging infrastructure, which Tesla it offers, holding this is not the same as Tesla’s Model 3. The exciting thing about this car is that since it is 100% made in China, they should be able to scale up to mass-produce it. “
There are things that Polestar 2 does better, such as the larger boot opening, and we assume the overall build quality. It could also be a better option for driving enthusiasts.
Well, regardless of which one is best for a particular customer, the good news is that such good BEVs are starting to emerge on the market.
We are excited to see the first all-electric Volvo car as it could also be quite good and available to a wider audience than the exclusive Polestar brand.
The final thought would be that it is quite surprising that such a car arrives in Europe from China, rather than from Germany, but German manufacturers cannot blame anyone but themselves.
