NASCAR officials issued fines to four Cup Series teams and a Gander Trucks team for nut infractions last weekend at Pocono Raceway.

On the Cup Series side, four teams were penalized for having an unsafe nut securely at post-race checks after both circuit events during a double weekend game. Violations of Sections 10.9.10.4 in the NASCAR Rule Book resulted in fines of $ 10,000 for the respective team leader of each team:

  • No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford for driver Kevin Harvick (crew chief Rodney Childers)
  • No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota for driver Denny Hamlin (crew chief Chris Gabehart)
  • No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford for driver Clint Bowyer (crew chief Johnny Klausmeier)
  • No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota for driver Martin Truex Jr. (crew chief James Small)

At Gander Trucks, the No. 51 Toyota Kyle Busch Motorsports led to Brandon Jones’ victory at Pocono also encountered an unsecured nut. As a result, crew chief Danny Stockman Jr. was fined $ 2,500.
