Fortnite: Marvel’s greatest heroes and villains introduced in the latest season

In front of FortniteThe latest season, Epic and Marvel are united to bring together some of the greatest heroes and villains from the Marvel universe to the Fortnite island to fight in the Nexus War.

Unlike most Fortnite seasons, this one comes with backstory for the whole theme and season. Galactus, the devourer of worlds and one of the most powerful villains of the Marvel Universe, goes to the Fortnite island intends to consume it, and Thor has assembled a team of heroes and villains that stop him. This is where the launch trailer of the season picks up, introducing us to each of the Marvel characters who will be appearing Fortnite this season.

The new list of heroes and villains includes Thor, Iron Man, Wolverine, Storm, Mystique, Doctor Doom, She-Hulk, and Great. It’s an impressive list and a line made for galaxy saving. It’s not exactly clear how all of these characters will fit into the normal battle royale gameplay of Fortnite, but in the Battle Pass trailer we can see sections where it looks like players can take control of each of the heroes and use their signature powers against what looks like NPC soldiers around the map.

Speaking of powers, it looks like a few other Marvel goodies may have made it into the game for players to find, such as the Silver Surfer surfboard. There’s also the Stark Industries Energy Rifle made by Tony himself.

The new season will also include an update on the map, meaning Marvel-themed locations. The largest addition is Doom’s Domain, a dark and mysterious area taken over by Victor Von Doom. The new map also contains smaller points of interest, such as the Sentinel’s Graveyard and the Helicarrier.
