Some of the most powerful heroes of the earth have become members of the Fortnite fray. As expected, the juggernaut battle royale introduces a new season based on the Marvel universe. When you purchase the game’s new Battle Pass, you can unlock iconic character skins such as Iron Man, Storm, Doctor Doom, Great, Mystique and She-Hulk. All players will also be able to use superpowers, such as Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets, Big’s Bramble Shield and Silver Surfer’s Board through each winner-take-all match. There’s no word on whether Spider-Man will appear, though that’s not a huge surprise, given that the fan-backlash Square Enix has to deal with right now.

If you want a deeper understanding of the conflict – centered around the villain Galactus – a pre-reading comedy will be available inside the Helicarrier. Oh right, I mentioned that the Fortnite island has also changed? In addition to the mobile command center, you can expect other Marvel locations, including Doom’s Domain and Sentinel Graveyard, to appear throughout the season. You’ll also find plenty of superhero loot throughout the island, including Stark Lab drones and an energy gun that “offers another advantage, depending on how you aim.”
