HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) – A Fort Lauderdale woman left a millionaire after winning the jackpot at the casino.
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood announced that the woman, identified as Ms. Laurie, won a jackpot of $ 3,854,682 at the IGT Megabucks slot game on Thursday morning, just after midnight.
The casino said the woman, who was celebrating her 60th birthday, was playing the $ 1 machine and had wagered $ 5 before winning the jackpot.
The victory marks the highest payout in the history of the six Seminole gaming properties and the largest slot jackpot ever awarded in Florida in an IGT game.
“I’m in absolute shock,” said Laurie. “You like to dream big, but that’s really big. That’s not even in the stadium of what you think you can win. That is a lottery! It still feels like a dream. “
When asked what he plans to do with his winnings, he said to the casino: “We are talking about hurricane windows! We’re talking about re-lining the pool or maybe getting a better condo after retirement. ”
