WWE Superstars Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson confirmed on Friday night that they officially signed with Impact Wrestling. In a live video before an interview with Pro Wrestling SheeRyan Satin, the pair appeared in an Impact Wrestling ring before Saturday night. Slammiversary event. Gallows looked at the camera and said, “The rumors are true. The internet rumor was correct. We have officially signed with Impact Wrestling.” According to Satin, the couple have signed two-year agreements that give them the freedom to work for New Japan Pro Wrestling as well.

“It’s midnight. We’re live. And we’ll be live on pay-per-view tonight for Slammiversary. It’s time for a good brother, baby!” Gallows added. It has not been revealed in which party they will participate in the pay-per-view.

The couple also confirmed that their own personal event, Talk N ‘Shop A-Mania, will take place on August 1. The stars announced for the show will include Heath Slater, Enzo Amore, Mike and Maria Bennett and Rhino.

During the interview, the couple revealed that they were in talks for AEW for almost six months, and planned to be with the promotion when AEW Dynamite released on TNT in October 2019. However, in the midst of that negotiation, Triple H split the couple and simply asked “what do you want?” when it comes to a new deal, and it ended up financially outperforming AEW’s best deal. The pair signed lucrative multi-year contracts in 2019, only to be released on April 15 along with more than 30 active fighters.

After a long and successful career in New Japan as a tag team, Gallows and Anderson reached WWE in April 2016. Over the next four years, the couple would win the Raw Tag Team Championships twice and work with other former members of the Bullet Club, Finn Balor and AJ Styles, but they never performed as a dominant team. Her last WWE appearance came in WrestleMania 36 during the Boneyard Match between AJ Styles and The Undertaker.

Other topics covered in the interview included why the name of The OC was changed, Rocky Romero’s attempt to get the couple to re-sign with New Japan and his frustrations with Paul Heyman (whom they described as “100% full of bulls “).
