AEW TNT champion Cody defeated Warhorse at tonight’s AEW Dynamite by submission (figure four). After the game, Cody went to shake hands with his opponent and was surprised by John Silver and Alex Reynolds of The Dark Order.
From behind, former WWE Superstar Zack Ryder (now known as Matt Cardona) came into the ring and eliminated Silver and Reynolds. Then he took off his shirt, looked at the camera and yelled, “I’m here!” Then he looked at his friend Cody on the floor.
Cardona was released from WWE in April due to company-wide cuts due to COVID-19.
