According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Sir. Diana Greenla, Fort La La Dardell Police officers responded to Parcel’s residence “in the context of an armed man attempting suicide.” Officers later identified him as CNN’s Bradley Parscal and said his wife had called police.
“When officers arrived at the scene, they contacted the wife of the armed subject, who advised that her husband is armed and has access to several weapons inside the residence and is threatening to harm himself,” Greenla told CNN in a statement. Officials determined that the only person in the household was an adult male.
Greenlaw said officers contacted Parcel, “increased contact, and talked about getting out of the house safely. The man was taken into custody without injury and taken to Baker Act for Baker Tax Health Medical Center.”
Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Karen Dietrich told CNN by phone that there was concern that Parascal might harm himself, and his wife reported that there were weapons in the house. The Sweat team responded and shortly after, Parskell surrendered to police, Dietrich said.
“He came out and we got him a little help,” Dietrich said.
Parscale was ousted this summer following Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Summer Clahoma. Although he maintained a senior position on the expedition, he was rarely seen inside the headquarters after his demolition.
“Brad Parscal is a member of our family and we all love him. We’re ready to give him and his family anything possible,” Tim Murtu, the Trump campaign’s communications manager, told CNN in a statement.
Parcel has not seen much in the campaign’s office fees since its demolition, a campaign source told CNN’s Jim Acosta. The day he was sabotaged, he cleaned his office and left. He was in .fis about 10 days ago, sources said.
The president and his allies praised Parcel as a digital guru who helped secure Trump’s first election effort. He worked for the Trump family years before Trump launched the presidential bid, and in June 2016, he took on a role in leading the campaign’s data analytics team.
After Trump’s victory, Parscal worked with the pro-Trump political organization America First Policies and in February 2018 he became campaign manager.
