Wednesday, Oct. 28, The tragic news of the former Miss America is confirmed by the Miss America organization Lianza Cornet Passed away. She was 49 years old.
“Lianza had a bright and beautiful spirit and her laughter was contagious. We know she means a lot to a lot of people, including you,” the organization wrote in a Facebook statement. “We are devastated by this sudden loss to our Miss America family and we are deeply sorry for her loss to her family and close friends.”
The organization added, “Right now we have no further information regarding the service for Lianza and we ask you to please respect her family during this difficult time.”
One person who set up a Facebook page called “Lianza’s Circle Love for Love” also shared the heartbreaking news, writing, “I’m here to let Lianza pass this afternoon. She was loved. I don’t feel like writing much. Right now. ; My heart is broken Su“
