Former Johnny Depp real estate manager remembers finding actor’s severed finger – Deadline

Former Johnny Depp real estate manager Ben King recalled how he found the actor’s severed finger after an alleged altercation with Amber Heard in Australia in 2015.

King was giving evidence in support of Depp as part of the Pirates of the Caribbean the successful battle of the star court with The Sun. Depp is suing the British tabloid after calling him a “handcuff puncher” in an article about his relationship with ex-wife Heard. Depp flatly denies that he attacked Heard.

King was involved in a clean-up operation after the alleged incident in Australia, during which the top of Depp’s middle finger was cut off. Heard claims the actor was injured while hitting a phone against the wall, but Depp claimed that the injury was the result of Heard throwing a bottle of vodka at him.

According to the Press Association, Sasha Wass QC, representing the editor of The Sun’s News Group Newspapers, asked King if he was tasked with finding Depp’s fingertip, to which he replied, “It was mentioned that it might be somewhere. and when I was cleaning I found it. ” She said it was located in the bar area, while there was a trail of bloodstains up the stairs to a room.

King said he heard about the vodka bottle claim in the press. Furthermore, speaking regarding the phone break claim, he added: “I do not recall that a phone has been torn from the wall or that it has had to replace a wall phone.” Depp had to go to the hospital to treat the wound.

Later, King was asked about his evidence that when he and Heard returned to Los Angeles from Australia after the finger incident, he noticed “a few cuts to one of his arms.” Wass asked if they were “fresh,” to which King replied, “They were enough for me to say ‘maybe you should put your sleeve on.'”

The trial continues.
