ATHENS – Former Georgia offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson was placed on the NFL’s reserve list-COVID-19, according to NFL reports.
Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel, who made Wilson the Titans’ first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft with the 29th overall pick, announced the news Tuesday.
The COVID-19 list is for players who test positive or are quarantined after coming into contact with an infected person.
Georgia has not released any information on the number of current players who have tested positive.

The NFL has been more transparent in this area.
Vrabel said he did not believe that the time Wilson is forced to fail, a minimum of a couple of weeks, according to the NFL medical director, will have a significant effect on his ability to compete for an initial job.
“The lines of scrimmage, I think they are something that there is some transfer from the university level, especially playing in a great conference, for a great school, which is transferred,” said Vrabel on NFL.com.
“Some of the techniques may be different, but many of the locking schemes will be similar. … I would say that the playbook is not as big (for a lineman) as, for example, a wide receiver, learning. “

“If I am a right tackle, I know I will line up alongside the right guard and I will have a division,” said Vrabel. “But with a receiver, his lineup can be on both sides, he can be in, he can be out, on top of the numbers, he is two yards inside the numbers.
“So we hope to bring (Wilson) up to date after seeing him at Zoom meetings, have him here and go from there.”
The Titans are slated to open the season on September 14 in Denver.
A total of 21 NFL players have tested positive for COVID-19 since the players began reporting to training camp, and 107 have tested positive overall this offseason, according to the latest NFLPA data.
