Ford updates Mustang Mach-E specs and opens order book

Ford is updating the specifications of the Mustang Mach-E, more specifically horsepower and torque, as it approaches production and opens the order book for the electric car.

As Ford continues testing before the start of production, he realizes that he can get a little more out of the electric SUV.

Earlier this year, the automaker reported that the Mustang Mach-E electric car charges 30% faster than previously thought.

Now Ford is also confirming the increase in horsepower and torque for all versions of the Mach-E.

Ron Heiser, chief engineer of the Mustang Mach-E program, commented:

We remain dedicated to delivering on the promise of the Mustang name. These better-than-estimated performance figures show that our team is squeezing every last performance out of this vehicle to deliver not only the Mustang style but also the Mustang soul.

In fact, we’ve already seen some of those specs in the dealer’s docs, but Ford has now made it official:

  • RWD Mach-E standard range:
    • 266 hp / 317 lb-ft / 198 kW
    • (+11 hp, +11 lb-ft, +8 kW from original specifications)
  • RWD Mach-E Extended Range:
    • 290 hp / 317 pound-feet / 216 kW
    • (+8 hp, +11 lb-ft, +6 kW from original specifications)
  • AWD Mach-E standard range:
    • 266 hp / 428 lb-ft / 198 kW
    • (+11 hp, +11 lb-ft, +8 kW from original specifications)
  • AWD Extended Range Mach-E:
    • 346 hp / 428 lb-ft / 258 kW
    • (+14 hp, +11 lb-ft, +10 kW from original specifications)

Today, Ford also announces that it will open the order book for the Mustang Mach-E in the United States.

It means that reservation holders can now change their reservations into orders and new buyers can place orders at dealerships.

The final price needs to be agreed with your local dealer, and as we recently reported, some early buyers will receive margins of up to $ 15,000 on the Mach-E.

However, many dealerships have agreed not to dial electricity, so be sure not to accept any markings on the vehicle.
