Flashback: Harris jokes about the assassination of Trump, Pence, Sessions during ‘Ellen’ appearance in 2018

Presumptive Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris joked in April 2018 about President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions disappearing in a proposed elevator emergency.

During a performance on “Ellen”, host Ellen DeGeneres asked the California senator with which of Trump, Pence or Sessions she would like to sit in an elevator.

“Should one of us come out alive?” Harris asked in response, laughing for several seconds and eliciting cheers and grins from the studio audience.

At other points during the question-and-answer period, Harris revealed to DeGeneres that ‘Jackson 5’ member Tito Jackson was her first celebrity, and she has no tattoos.

The segment was reiterated Wednesday in a tweet by senior political correspondent Jim Geraghty of National Review.

Conservatives reacted at the time to the comment on social media, including Fox News ‘Sean Hannity’ who called the comment a ‘shocking new low’.

In 2016, Biden even stumped for then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton when he told a crowd he would “take [Trump] behind the gym “in response to the release of the” Access Hollywood “tape in which Trump made angry remarks about women.

At the time, Biden was asked if he wanted to debate Trump, where he remarked, “No. I wish we were in high school. I could take him behind the gym. That’s what I want.”

Trump responded mockingly to Biden’s remarks, saying, ‘He wants to get me to the back of the bar. Oh! Some things in life you can really enjoy doing. “
