Montana added 94 new COVID-19 cases to the total on the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map on Tuesday, with 1,320 cases reported as active.
Gallatin County added another 28 new cases for a total of 802. The state reports 136 active cases in Gallatin County.
Note: The numbers reported by the state each day sometimes differ from those reported by county public health departments due to periodic delays in submitting data to the state. MTN News counts up-to-date data that individual counties report throughout a given day.
- TOTAL CASES AND RECOVERIES: Montana Now Reports 3,475 cumulative cases statewide, with 2,104 People recovered.
- HOSPITALIZATIONS There are currently 62 hospitalized patients. Has been 205 hospitalizations for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
- ACTIVE CASES: The state reports that there is currently 1,320 active cases of COVID-19 in Montana.
- TESTS: The number of tests increased by 2,753 during the previous 24-hour reporting period, for a new state cumulative total of 161,408.
- DEAD: The cumulative number of deaths in Montana is 51.
On July 15, Governor Steve Bullock announced a state directive requiring face masks / masks in Montana. The directive applies to counties that have four or more active COVID-19 cases.
The directive requires that masks be worn in most indoor settings and where social distancing cannot be maintained. Bullock said companies will have the right to deny entry to anyone who does not wear a mask.
