Fire TV Devices Rolling Out From Amazon New Tea Look User Interface

This week, Amazon unveiled a revamped user interface for the Fire TV line of its streaming devices. The new “Fire TV Experience” aims to provide a more intuitive and personalized interface when it launches this week. It looks like the update will come in waves and the first will be the company’s latest 3G General Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite. Users of both new devices should see the new look interface in the coming weeks.

Of note is a new home screen and a main navigation menu, located in the center of the screen. You will see a large content art at the top and a traditional tile grid at the bottom. Speaking of the main bar, you will have access to your library, live content and the search function under “Search”. You’ll also have direct access to key applications via small tiles along with a menu bar.

Amazon also showed an improved Find menu with key styles and categories, as well as a profile selection screen, where up to six household members can create their own user profile. The company says the updated interface also has improvements in Alexa integration. We look forward to having some time with experience in the near future. Meanwhile, 3G General Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite users should see the update in the next few weeks.
