Finn Balor refers to Velveteen Dream as “trash”

Finn Balor is scheduled to air The Velveteen Dream on WWE NXT tonight, but there’s a cloud hanging over Dream’s involvement in the show.

As mentioned earlier, there is a lot of unhappiness among fans and many wrestlers about what some consider to be preferential treatment for Dream (Patrick Clark).

During the NXT TakeOver: XXX conference call, Triple H said that WWE “has gone through” and they found nothing during their investigation into allegations about him. This was said even though one of Dream’s prosecutors, Josh Fuller, said WWE never reached him during their investigation.

Finn Balor placed the custom image below of himself next to a trash can with the implication that Dream (Patrick Clark) is trash. The match was actually taped last week.

The winner of this contest will advance to the Five-Way Ladder Match at TakeOver: XXX which will crown a new North American Champion.

Tonight will not take place against AEW Dynamite due to the NBA Playoffs. Dynamite will air east on TNT this Saturday night at 6 p.m.

Here’s what’s announced for tonight’s episode of NXT on the USA Network:

– Pat McAfee and Adam Cole will meet face-to-face
– Finn Balor vs. Velveteen Dream for a spot in the Ladder Match at TakeOver: XXX
– Rhea Ripley vs. Shotzi Blackheart vs. Mercedes Martinez and Aliyah
– Johnny Gargano vs. Ridge Holland in a second chance game
– Isaiah “Wandering” Scott and Brezzango vs. Ghost of the Ghost
