Gilt Gear Strive developer Arc System Works has announced plans to delay the start of the next game in the series until June 11, 2021. The announcement was made shortly after the completion of the playable beta on the PlayStation console, allowing players to cope in multiplayer. Match the number of fighters to be selected.
This is the second time the Gilt Gear Strive has been late. Originally planned for release in late 2020, the developers delayed the game until April 9, 2021, citing the additional challenge of developing the game during the COVID-19 epidemic. In the developer’s statement, it was clarified that the game needs more work to go where it is needed for its full launch.
“We have received valuable feedback since the recent open beta test, so we will make the most of this opportunity to provide the best game,” the statement said. “We need extra time to polish some aspects of the game, such as the online lobby and server stability.”
The response to the open beta was generally positive. However, the general subject of criticism was the approach of the online lobbies, which made it a bit difficult for the players to get the match. According to the statement, the response will be taken to put some more work into how the arc system works.
Recently, Arc System Works announced the final characters for the launch lineup of 15 fighters of the Giltit Gear Strive, which sees the return of the time-traveling Witch I-Nana. For more on the Giltit Gear Strive, be sure to check back with Gamespot for more updates about the game’s status.
