Josh Gadweb series of Gathered apart It has allowed fans to spend some of their quarantine time watching the cast and filmmakers behind their favorite movies come together virtually online. The Goonies, Return to the future, Splash, Lord of the Ringsand Ghostbusters all have appeared in the series. Now another beloved movie from the 1980s is in the spotlight.
Ferris Bueller’s day off is one of the many classic teen comedies directed by the deceased John Hughesand Josh Gad was able to gather Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, and more.
Ferris Bueller’s day off met separately
The chemistry between Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck as Ferris and Cameron is a big part of Ferris Bueller’s day off That friendship is the result of having been friends and co-stars together for a time before the movie, thanks to the two of them working on a theatrical production of Neil Simon. Biloxi Blues. However, as the two recalled, a bad wardrobe test with the cast made John Hughes think that maybe things wouldn’t turn out very well on set. But as we all know, everything went well.
Like an old fan of Ferris Bueller’s day off who has seen the movie countless times (my family had a recording of The Movie Channel movie that I watched over and over again as a child), there is not much I don’t know about the movie. But a new detail came from Matthew Broderick, who revealed that he hurt his knee during production, and was still recovering from injury while filming the famous parade sequence.
Jennifer Gray, who played Ferris Bueller’s sister Jeanie, told a story about how she created a little mischief during that sequence of the parade by donning a costume and pretending to be an autograph dog, getting photos with the entire cast that was on set that day and try to get in the movie. Apparently, John Hughes was tricked, because he tried to keep security away from filming.
Ferris Bueller’s parents, Lyman Ward and Cindy Pickett Join and mention the little curiosities about the Bueller family that has a couple more siblings that we can never see. But there are remnants of his existence in the film through some kindergarten-age drawings on the refrigerator and a family portrait in Ferris’s father’s office.
Josh Gad even got Ben stein, the economics teacher who attends the meeting in the most boring way possible, to attend the meeting. Stein has become famous for his unique speaking style and cadence, all thanks to his part in Ferris Bueller’s day offA role was supposed to be just an off-camera voice-over role, but it expanded to much more thanks to an impromptu scene.
As usual, the line reading part of Gathered apart It’s the most awkward part, mainly because they’re not the best readings, though there are some bright spots from Jennifer Gray and Ben Stein during this part that stand out. But it is followed by a small question and answer section with special guests. Jake Gyllenhaal asking questions of the cast.
Finally, be sure to stick around until the end of the video, because it’s a montage of cast members from various John Hughes movies over the years reading some of his most famous lines. We won’t spoil who appears in the incredible lineup, because it’s kind of an incredible lineup, but fans of National Lampoon Vacation franchise, Uncle buck, The breakfast club, Sixteen candles, Pretty in pink, Curly sue, Sir momand Planes, Trains and AutomobilesYou will not be disappointed.
