Fate / Extra Record, a complete remake of Fate / Extra, was revealed to be developed by Type-Moon Studio BB.
Type-Moon Studio BB revealed for the tenth anniversary of Destination / Extra a new game titled Extra destination / registration. The game is a complete remake of the original PSP game and runs on Unreal Engine. No platforms were announced in addition to the “current generation platforms”. The first trailer for the game is included below. Please note that the game was announced worldwide.
The remake was featured by Type-Moon Studio BB earlier this month as an “anniversary video” for Destination / Extra It was scheduled for July 22. In fact, the video, accessible here, controlled fans starting as a typical “let’s take a look at the series video” ad-free, before quickly switching to the remake footage.
Type-Moon Studio BB is chaired by Kazuya Niino, who is in Planning and Management at Destination / Extra registration. He has already confirmed that the studio is working on three different projects. One of these turned out to be Destination / Extra registration. Two remain to be announced. He also previously hinted that the games will hit PC, PS4, and Switch, giving us an idea for the platforms of this new version.
Just like the original PSP game released in 2010, Destination / Extra registration is a turn-based JRPG, with dungeon tracking elements. It features an original protagonist and servants like Nero Saberface, who were new back then but are now nostalgic. It also includes iconic characters from the Destination franchise and Nasuverse as Rin Tohsaka and Archer, who uses Unlimited Blade Works in the trailer.

An official page for the game was opened. Kinoko Nasu and Type-Moon are credited in the original story and setting. Takashi Takeuchi and Type-Moon are credited for the original character concept. Aruko Wada returns from the original game as a chara designer.
The announcement video also included a virtual reality-like sequence at the end. With Rin announcing a live broadcast for the anniversary, which will take place on July 22 at 2000 JST. She also asked fans to share their impressions of the series through a Twitter campaign with the hashtag # extra10 周年.
