A right-wing video blogger who shot a music video dedicated to law enforcement was arrested by the FBI on Saturday after living a healthy life in the Capitol during the January 6 uprising.
In a criminal complaint released Saturday, the Justice Department said it had arrested Antim Joseph Gionette, a far-right activist known as “Baked Alaska,” on charges of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol.
Gionet, who tested positive for Covid-1 for just a few days before the riots, is facing unrelated charges last year for spraying a bouncer on pepper, which he traveled to DC’s “Stop the Steel” events this month. As the rioters attacked Congress, Gionet, a former BuzzFeed employee-pro-Trump activist, found himself alive at an event on Delive, which the popular video platform eventually swept away.
As the rioters attacked Congress, Gionet, a former BuzzFeed employee, was a not-so-right, pro-Trump activist, and he livestreamed on a popular video platform, which eventually cut off the flow.
But, like many rioters last week, Capitol’s celebratory posts may come back to haunt him. Much of the evidence against Gionet, presented in Saturday’s arrest affidavit, is directly attributed to his own 27-minute livestream.
Defendant’s ‘1776 child’ comment can be heard, ” I won’t leave the boys, don’t worry ” in the affidavit Says. “At the 2:52 minute mark in the YouTube video, the defendant, who is streaming the event live from his device, will turn the phone to show his face and be clearly identifiable.”
At one point, Gionet filmed himself entering an office fee, picking up a telephone, and performing an “imaginative phone call with United States Senate employees.”
Later in the video, he entered another office fee, sat on the bed and set foot on the table. The affidavit added, “Defendant does not encourage others to break anything.”
Vice Earlier this week it was reported that the FBI was using live streams of Gionet Storms to track and track other participants. The agency hit several notices last week seeking information about pro-Trump mob individuals, including images taken directly from a baked Alaska video.
On Friday, Daniel Goodwin, a “self-proclaimed” pride boy, was arrested by federal officials who said in a court filing that he was called by name on Gionet’s live stream.
Federal authorities say they have charged at least 100 people in the wake of the riots, including a Texas real estate agent who hired a private jet from DC, a former Latin Kings gangster, a Piot-loving “Quan Shaman,” and a private jet. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s name bar was pinched.
The FBI also announced charges against another man who attacked the Capitol on Saturday.
Law enforcement said Jack Jesse Griffith, also known as Juan Bibiano, took part in the event citing his posts on Facebook and Instagram, where he allegedly wrote, “I also helped in the storm. [sic] Today is the capital, but it only makes things worse. “
