We’ve had a lot of injuries this Fantasy Football season, as well as players affected by COVID-19. It’s been frustrating for fantasy managers, but let’s focus on the positives for week 9. Let’s talk about the two leading players returning to play this week – at least that’s the hope.
Christian McFrey and Michael Thomas are expected to be back in action, and that would be excellent to plug back into our starting lineups. McFarry, who is out with Week 2 with a foot injury, will give up hope before the injury where he left off.
In his first two games this season, McCaffrey averaged 25.0 PPR points. He had four touchdowns in two games against the Raiders and Buccaneers, and was heading for another stellar campaign. Mike Davis did well to replace McFarry, scoring at least 21 PPR points in three of six games, but there’s a reason he’s underrepresented. In his last three games, Davis has only 27 combined PPR points against Chicago, New Orleans and Atlanta.
It won’t be easy against the Chiefs on the way to McFarry in the 9th week, but no defense will keep McCaffrey away from your Fantasy lineup. He’s back, and hopefully he’s here to stay.
The same is true for Thomas, who came out after injuring his ankle in Week 1, but the teammates also got him a game suspension for punishing a teammate, and then he missed several weeks with a hamstring injury. When healthy, Thomas could be the No. 1 fantasy receiver in all leagues as he was in 2019, and he would be great for the Saints – and fantasy managers.
We’ll see how he does it on the road to Tampa Bay in a potential matchup against Cornwallk Carlton Davis, but Thomas will be a starter in all leagues. And it’s possible that Drew Bryce will lean a little on Thomas in the 9th week and move on.

We said earlier in the season that Chen Edmunds could be one of the best lottery tickets if Kenyan Drake ever missed any time, and that’s just as things move forward in Week 9, and Drake is expected to be out with an ankle injury. . Dolphins. It should be a great game for the third year coming back from Fordham.
Edmunds should pay attention to the quality workload in Drake’s absence, as Drake had five games with at least 19 total touches this season. Edmunds doesn’t need that much work to succeed in 2020, so the increased touch can be wonderful. Edmunds has four games this season with at least eight touchdowns, and in all of them he has scored at least 12 PPR points. And last year, Edmunds played four games with at least seven total touches, and in three of them he scored at least 14 PPR points.
He has been excellent in a game with at least three catches in five games, including three games with at least five receptions. Hopefully the Cardinals continue to throw at Edmunds, which isn’t something that works with Drake, mostly with seven catches. If the Cardinals are smart, they’ll just use Edmunds in every aspect of the game, and he could be in the top-three fantasy back this week.
Now, the matchup against the Dolphins will not be easy. Miami has allowed at least 14 PPR points with James Robinson in Week 3, Chris Carson in Week 4 and Rahim Mostert in Week 5, but the Dolphins’ other games were against New England, Buffalo, Jets and Rams. None of those teams are likely to run behind Darrell Henderson, who injured his thigh in the 8th week in Miami.
I’m counting on Edmunds to nail down with his increased workload this week, and the Cardinals are departing bye, while the Dolphins have a long way to go. This is the moment we have been waiting for with Edmunds, and I am confident it will deliver.

Washington Washington (v. NYG): W. Washington Football .L had a sack in the team and had a stop in front of him In 6 weeks Daniel Jones and the Giants were put on 20 points. This is the only game where Jones has not been knocked out many times, and every game this year has at least one turnover. Washington Washington, meanwhile, comes into the game with four consecutive interruptions.
- Cardinals (vs. MIA): Tua Tagoviloa was once kicked, once fumbled and spent just 93 yards on his first start at home last week. The Dolphins are miles below Gaskin (knees), and the Cardinals are coming bye from home. That’s a good setup for Cardinals DST in Week 9.
- Giants (on WAS): Giants DST made a touchdown, had three sacks and was a barrier against the Washington Washington football team in Week 6 and allowed only 19 points. Let’s see if it can happen again.
- Texans (on JAC): Jack Luton is making his first NFL debut, which could lead to some sacks and turnover against him by bye against the Texans.
Bills (vs. SEA): Bill DST had a fall in the weekend against New England and he performed poorly in every game this year except for two meetings with the Jets. Seattle averages .3 points per game, and the Seahawks have just seven turnovers per season.
