Fantasy Football Week 13 Apology Wire: Who can help you advance to the playoffs?

Week 12 of the NFL season, well, is still going on. She has become an Energizer Bunny. The week started with Xxgiving Day and is scheduled to end on Wednesday night at 3:00 PM. This is a new time for Ravens-Steelers, which has been postponed three times due to COVID-19 issues. We hope that this game will finally be postponed.

If the game lands on Wednesday as currently scheduled, the scores of any Ravens and Steelers players for your Fantasy League on CVS Sports will be counted until the 12th week. That’s the easy part – we hope. What should be simple, but there is also a warrant explanation, is what Wednesday’s game means for the waiver process in your CBS Sports League. Here is what CBS Sports emailed to all our league members.

“Looking at Wednesday’s game, there will be no amnesty for any league on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning). The first qualifying amnesty run after the Baltimore-Pittsburgh game will be on Wednesday night (Thursday morning). Important Note – If you don’t normally apologize on Wednesday night and If you want to do that, your commissioner will need to update your league settings before Wednesday night. “

Here’s a simple three-step process that my colleague Dove Richard tweeted for Fantasy Commissioners on CBS Sports. Please show this to your Fantasy Commissioner to make sure he / she is awake.

  1. Go to your league’s transaction policy page (http: //**YOURLEAGUEIDHERE**.football.cbssport.com/setup/league-settings/transaction-polf References)
  2. Make sure “Mercury” is clicked
  3. Done

Again, it should be easy, and hopefully no problem executing an apology this week. We know this is an important week for you guys, as most fantasy leagues have this final scoring period before the playoffs begin.

And there are two leading storylines that we are going to in Week 13. The first is that Texans receiver Will Fuller has been suspended for six games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy. Fantasy managers will have to replace the No. 8 receiver in the PPR, and some of the options from the waiver wire include Deboe Samuel, Tim Patrick and KK Qty.

Raiders running after Josh Jacobs also injure the ankle. By Monday, he is expected to play in the 13th week in the Jets, but if he is eliminated, Devon Booker will be a potential starting fantasy option in all leagues. We’ll talk about running the back of Booker and other free agents below.

One of the benefits of running a Wednesday night excuse is that you can view practice reports for Jacobs and others, so you can determine what moves you make. And if necessary, I’ll update this column on Wednesday afternoon to help with any of your final waiver wire decisions.

Editor’s note: For this waiver wire column, we’re only seeing roasted players in less than 65% of the CBS Sports League.

Week 13 Apologies

  • Note Injuries: Lamar Jackson (sickness), Drew Breeze (ribs), Daniel Jones (hamstring), Tua Tagoviloa (thumb), Drew Lock (sickness), Nick Falls (foot), Gardner Minshare (thumb), Jimmy Geroppolo (ankle)
  • Bye: Tom Brady and Teddy Bridgewater
  • Priority list: Ryan Fitzpatrick (37% roasted), Michelle Trubiski (10%), Baker Mayfield (45%) and Philip Rivers (54%)
  • Check to see if available: Ryan Tenehill (84% roasted) and Kirk Cousins (71%). Tennhill has managed to score at least 21 Fantasy points in his past two tough matchups against Baltimore and Indianapolis, and now in his next three trips he meets Cleveland, Jacksonville and Detroit. And the Cousins have scored at least 21 Fantasy points in four consecutive games and will face Jacksonville this week.
  • Potential drop candidates: Jared Goff (90% roasted) and Carson Wentz (69%). Goff was able to play well in Week 13 in Arizona, but he has a game with more than 12 Fantasy Points after Week 7 and is too inconsistent to believe this point in the season. Wentz is likely to be the bench for J Jelen Hurtz, and in his next three trips he will face Green Bay, New Orleans and Arizona.

Running backs

  • Note Injuries: Josh Jacobs (Ankle), Joe Mixon (Foot), D’Andre Swift (Stir), David Johnson (Stir), Todd Gurley (Knee), James Connor (Illness), Jonathan Taylor (Illness), Miles Gaskin (Ankle) , J.K. Dobbins (Illness), Mark Ingram (Illness), Philip Lindsay (Knee), Cullen Bellej (Ankle), Salvon Ahmed (Shoulder), Lamical Perrin (Ankle), Devonta Freeman (Ankle) and Tavin Cole
  • Bye: Christian McFrey, Mike Davis, Ronald Jones and Leonard Fornet
  • Priority list: Devonte Booker (34% roasted), Benny Snell (48%), Cam Acres (47%), Frank Gore (41%), Deandre Washington (1%), Jordan Wilkins (30%), Brian Hill (54%), Carion Johnson (26%) and Royce Freeman (7%)
  • Check to see if available: J.K. Dobbins (8% roasted), Miles Gaskin (1%), James White (0%), Latavius Murray (77%) and Jamal Williams (1%). Dobbins and Ingram are eligible to play against the Steelers on Wednesday, so keep an eye on how they do, especially Dobbins. Hopefully he was great again for Ravens when he was in Week 11 against Tennessee when he made a total of 17 touchdowns and 18 PPR points. Gaskin could make a comeback against the Bengals this week, and if he’s healthy, especially if Ahmed doesn’t stay out, he’ll be in second place again. I don’t like that White only had one catch against Arizona in Week 12, but it could still be a flex option in PPR. And he has at least 13 PPR points in consecutive games before Week 13. Murray has carried 31 in his last two games and even playing alongside Alvin Camara could be considered a potential flex option. Williams is a great hide-and-seek candidate if something happens to Aaron Jones, and if you need him as a flex option in the Eranda League, Williams has scored at least eight PPR points in all but two games this year.
  • Potential drop candidates: Leonard Fornet (91% roasted), Darrell Henderson (77%), Jericho McKinnon (75%) and Cullen Balage (75%). The Buccaneers are planning to feature Ronald Jones, which is bad news for Furnett, who has touched a total of 10 or less in four consecutive games. Henderson should lose more playing time for Curse, and Henderson now has nine games in a row with nine PPR points or less. Back in the Rams with Rakem Mustart and Jeff Wilson, Week Keenan had just five touchdowns in Week 12, and his workload could be put at risk. And Bellej is no longer able to hold him or he has been damaged, with Austin Stein Eckler back.

Wide receivers

  • Note Injuries: Julio Jones (hamstring), Adam Thilen (sickness), Kenny Golade (hip), DJ Chark (ribs), Brandon Ayuk (sickness), John Brown (ankle), Julian Edelman (knee), Preston Williams (legs), Rand Cobb (toe) and Larry Fitzgerald (illness)
  • Bye: DJ Moore, Robbie Anderson, Curtis Samuel, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown
  • Priority list: Debo Samuel (59% Roasted), Tim Patrick (55%), KK Coty (1%), Breached Periman (47%), Sterling Shepard (62%), Sammy Watkins (63%), Darnell Mooney (15%), Hunter Ranfro (37%), Colin Johnson (0%) and Gabriel Davis (%%)
  • Check to see if available: Brandon Ayuk (80% roasted), Corey Davis (79%), Cole Beasley (75%), Nelson Agolor (75%), Michael Pitman (73%) and Alan Lazard (68%). Ayuk will hopefully return in the 13th week after being out in the last two games, and he has scored at least 17 PPR points in the last three games. I’m excited to see how it will work with Samuel. Davis has done well as the No. 2 receiver for the Titans, and he had to face Brown in Week 13 against Jacksonville in Week 14 and Detroit in Week 15. Beasley should no longer be considered the No. 3 fantasy receiver. As John Brown is out, and Brown will lose the next two matches against the 49ers and Steelers. A Week has a great matchup in the 13th week against the Golor Jets, and has 15 goals in the last two games against the Chiefs and the Falcons. Pitman has at least seven goals in his last four games, and he has a great matchup in Week 13 at Texans, having just lost to Robbie. And Lazard scored the 12th goal of the week against Chicago and the 13th has a favorable matchup against the Eagles.
  • Potential drop candidates: Will Fuller (100% roasted), Darius Slaton (82%), Travis Fulgam (78%) and Emanuel Sanders (73%). Fuller’s season is over, and there’s no reason to keep him on your fantasy roster in the Redraft League. Fulgam has been a tragedy since Alshon Jeffrey returned to the Eagles in the 10th week, and Fulgam has five PPR points in his last three games. Sanders has 12 PPR points and seven combined goals in his last three games.

Wide receiver

Week 13 priority list

  • Note injuries: Mark Andrews (Illness), George Kettle (Foot), Zac Ertz (Ankle), Irv Smith (Groin) and Greg Olson (Foot)
  • Bye: Rob Gronkowski
  • Priority list: Kyle Rudolph (22% roasted), Stein Hooper (62%), Logan Thomas (45%), Trey Burton (38%) and Jordan Akins (17%)
  • Check to see if available: Dallas Goedert (80% roasted), Mike Gasciki (73%), Zach Ertz (72%) and Robert Tonian (72%). We’ll see what happens when Ertz returns, but Goethe has been great with at least 18 PPR points in each of the last two games against Cleveland and Seattle. Hopefully it will continue even if Artz plays in the 13th week at Gert Bay, but both should roster the tight end of Philadelphia. Geziki is the starting option against the Bengals in Week 13 if Fitzpatrick will have a starter in Miami. And Tonian has come to life with at least 15 PPR points in his last two games against the Colts and Bears over the past two weeks, but only 10 goals for him in that period.
  • Potential drop candidate: Noah Fent (77% roasted), Jared Cook (71%) and Tyler Higby (55%). Fant is getting back to back, but I still don’t trust Fant against the Chiefs in Week 13. He has not scored since Week 2 and has nine PPR points or less in seven of his last eight games. Cook has five goals in his past three games with one catch 6 yards. You can’t trust him anymore since the beginning of the Tess Hill Saints. Higgins has not scored since Week 2 and has nine PPR points or less in eight consecutive games.

Tight end

Week 13 priority list

  • Bear (52%) vs. DET
  • Riders on NYJ (14%)
  • Vikings (58%) vs. JAC

  • Nick Falk on LAC (7%)
  • Matt Gay on ARI (3%)
  • Greg Zuerlin on BAL (30%)
