Fantasy Football .L Week 6 Launch ‘M&S’ M: Alexander Mattison to Become a Weekly Superstar

In Fantasy Football Week 6, there are no Russell Wilson, Drew Breeze, Justin Herbert or Derek cars. You won’t have Alvin Camara, Chris Carson, Josh Jacobs or Justin Jackson. You can’t start with Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, Henry Rugs, Emanuel Sanders or Michael Thomas. And Darren Veller, Hunter Henry, Jared Cook and Greg Olson are getting a mini vacation.

As a result of COVID-19 we have had to manage our fantasy roster this year, and four teams have already observed a week-by-week between Pittsburgh and Tennessee in Week 4 and Denver and New England in Week 5. The depth of your fantasy roster will be tested with four more teams on the buy in the same scoring period: New Orleans, Seattle, Las Vegas and the Chargers.

With a number of major injuries, including the ankle-to-ankle for Dak Prescott, we have a number of fantasy managers scattered. But hopefully you have prepared for this and are ready to compete. As always, we are here to help.

We have all the beginnings and you need to make your lineup competitive, as well as some sleepers you may not have considered. This will hopefully be a week where you will come to play some of the backup options you have on your bench and could be a big one especially in Minnesota as Dalvin Cook (Editor Strain) is expected to come out.

Alexander Mattison will not throw his shot tonight in anticipation of being out against the Falcons with Cook leading the Vikings this week. U.S. Bank Stadium will be the room where it happens, and I’m counting on Mattison to blow everyone up.

We’ve told you since last season that Mattison had a lottery ticket in case Kut missed at any time. Mattison didn’t get a chance to cash in on that ticket in 2019, as he also suffered a loss when Cook went down in Week 16, and we have had Mike Boone’s failed experiment in many fantasy championship games. Like many of you, I am still troubled by it.

But you saw Mattison overturn in Week 5 in Seattle when Cook was injured. Mattison had 20 carry for 112 yards, as well as three catches for 24 yards on three goals against the Seahawks, and I hope he ends up back this week as a top-three fantasy. He averages 7.7 yards per carry in his career, and Gary Kubiak’s system is excellent for running backs.

It sets Mattison well to face the Falcons at home. While Atlanta could be encouraged to play from interim coach Rahim Morris after the sacking of Dan Quinn, it is doubtful the defense will improve dramatically in a week. Chris Carson, Ezekiel Elliott, Aaron Jones and Mike Davis have punished this Falcons defense, and Mattis should make this claim. Cook would have a monster game at this place, and I’m treating Matison like Kutney.

So don’t hesitate to start Mattison in all leagues this week. We know you’ll be satisfied with his performance, and it’s nice to have Mattison by your side.

Dolphins (vs. NYJ): The Dolphins DST have had 11 sacks in the last three games and four interruptions in that period. And now the Dolphins defense will face Joe Flco and the Jets, who have allowed nine sacks in the last two games and are 17 points or less in four of the five outings this year.

  • Giants (vs. WAS): The Rams got eight sacks against Kyle Allen and Alex Smith’s pairing in Week 5 and Washington have scored 20 points or less in four consecutive games. Washington has also had eight turnovers (five fumbles and three interceptions) in the last four games.
  • Vikings (vs. ATL): The Falcons have scored 16 points in each of their last two games, and Matt Ryan has been sacked six times against the Packers and Panthers.
  • Washington Washington (on NYG): Daniel Jones failed to touchdown in four games, and was sent off seven times in the last two games against the Rams and the Cowboys. The Giants have also scored 16 points or less in four of the five games this year.

Bill (v. Casey)

Titans vs. linebackers Matt Milano (pectoral) and Cornwack K Tray ‘Davis White (back) have been billed with missing week, and we’ll see if they can come back against the Chiefs. But even at full strength it will be difficult to trust Bill DST, and you should sit unit in most of the leagues given the matchup.
